Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain: Konami announces appointment to switch off the servers
The end of the seam: Konami has introduced a schedule to continue proceeding with regard to the online component of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (from 11.76 €). According to Eurogamer.net, switching off the server is already decided - at least, as far as the Oldgen version for PS3 and Xbox 360 are concerned. There, on May 31, 2022, the plug is finally drawn.
From now on, Ingame purchases are no longer possible. From 30 November, you will also be able to buy no DLCs, where there is a connection with the online component. From the 1st of March you will also begin to gradually remove the game from digital online stores and thus prevent a new purchase.
Mostly: This is currently only the versions for PS3 and Xbox 360. As should be done on the other platforms - ie PC, PS4 and Xbox One - has not yet been communicated.
Even if at some point the servers should be switched off everywhere, you will be able to play the campaign of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain, of course, continue to play in offline mode.
